After graduating with her B.A. in Dance, Ashley discovered her love for yoga. Combining mindfulness with her love of movement has enhanced every aspect of her life. She is on a mission to help men and women tap into their highest selves and live a life of confidence and consciousness.
Yoga is a time for me to move, breath, and be with myself. Flowing through each sequence is like a dance for me. I let the music and my breath move me from deep down. It is my moving meditation. When I first started my yoga practice, I noticed that certain poses were bringing up some negative thoughts. I didn’t like that there was a pose that I didn’t like, so I decided to practice that pose as much as possible and try to shift my thoughts. Not only did I end up falling in love with utkatasana (chair pose), it taught me so much about life- it taught me what Yoga truly is. Life is always going to be a combination of good and bad situations, but you get to decide how you handle yourself during those difficult times.
